Adi-Shankaracharya believed in the concept of “Adwaita”. He believed that every line of scriptures is not of equal importance. In contrast, Ramanujacharya believed that considering some parts to be more important than others is a partial way of judgment. Hence the doctrine he promoted was “Vishisht-adwait”.
